Adult Literacy Program

Our Adult Literacy classes started in the first week of November, 2003. Bruce Hansen, a literacy coordinator with Literacy and Evangelism for Haitians spent a month in Camathe. He started two classes of fifteen students each, and the results are wonderful. All thirty students are continuing their studies, and are delighted to be able to read. Bruce trained two teachers during his stay, so the program could continue in his absence. The classes are held in the afternoon after the elementary students. The program is a blessing to the community. We thank Bruce for his dedication to this task, and for getting the program started so well. It is wonderful to be able to help the citizens of Camathe in the name of the Lord.
