Earthquake Update
19 Jan 2010
Thank you for your donation to Living Hope Haiti Christian Mission for earthquake relief in Haiti.
We are working with a number of Haitian relief groups to insure that our funds get the biggest impact possible in Haiti.
Living Hope Haiti has no search and rescue capabilities, and food and water distribution in Port au Prince is a job for the military. Therefore, we are not participating in either activity. However, many people have left Port au Prince and more than 50 have camped out at our headquarters in Saint Michel. We are using part of your donations to provide meals medical care, and temporary housing to these folks.
There is a physician (who we have worked with in the past), in Port au Prince as of January 17th and he is advising us on patient flow, surgical equipment needs, and post-op care. We are preparing our surgical teams for deployment on January 28 from Leesburg, FL, and February 4th from Miami, Florida. These teams will focus on orthopedic injuries and surgeries.
We will keep you posted on the developments as they occur.

Thank you again.
Blessings,
Calvin Babcock
